A call to action! Students at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville are voicing their concerns over their lack of safety options. According to one student “the student code of conduct at SIUE does not allow for personal safety products.” This also includes pepper spray. Students, however, are demanding that pepper spray be legalized on campus. According to student James Witcher, "Pepper spray, Mace and Tasers are designed specifically to help disable attackers. Giving people that opportunity should be allowed."
